Creating a Cottage Porch

This week I've started getting our front porch ready for Spring in spite of the rainy, gloomy weather we've been having.  Yesterday I bought two wicker chairs at Walmart (great price!) and some pretty floral cushions and put a small wooden antique table between them with a little palm in a red pot.  It looks nice!  Mr. Wonderful likes it too but asked me an interesting question last evening.  "Can you hang things on the wall on the porch?"   I had never really given that a thought but now it's stuck in my head, of course.  :)  So I Googled it and found several different ideas.

Porch Rules.....I like this!  Found this one on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Primitive-Shabby-PORCH-Rules-Typograhpy-Word-Art-Subway-Wood-Sign-Wall-Decor-/261150950109

Wrought Iron Medallion....from Etsy....very pretty!  https://www.etsy.com/listing/108824236/large-wrought-iron-wall-decor-metal-wall?ref=market

A window for the front porch....I really like this idea!  And the link gives you instructions although I already have some ideas of my own for this, and just recently saw some old window frames at my favorite antique shop.  :)  http://www.front-porch-ideas-and-more.com/porch-makeover-3.html

....and here are two ideas I found on Pinterest.  Real artwork on the wall on one, and lots of stuff on the wall in the second one....hmmmm!  http://pinterest.com/carolynjjohnson/porch-monkey/

Well, lots of good ideas here but I'm really leaning toward the "porch window".  What do you think?

Hello everyone and welcome to Deb's Cozy Cottage.....a place where shabby design lives harmoniously with vintage decor.

I am a collector (a.k.a. horder) of vintage dinnerware and pottery, and I enjoy crafting shabby 'n chic home accessories.

I recently opened an Etsy shop where I sell vintage dinnerware, early 20th century American pottery, shabby home decor, and anything else that catches my fancy.
You can also find me on Facebook

I would like to connect with others who enjoy shabby and vintage decor
through this blog, Facebook and/or Etsy.
I hope you'll come back soon as I plan  to post here
about any and everything "cozy cottage".

Thanks for stopping by today!
